What a lovely start to the weekend! Sunshine and a visit to the beach 😊 We spent the afternoon at Talland Bay beach (East) near Polperro. After a nice spot of lunch at the Smugglers Rise, a couple of us did a beach clean, on a seemingly clean looking beach but collected loads of small pieces of monofilament nylon net, which were stuck to the seaweed. We then did a Dive against Debris from the beach and this was followed by a Paddle for Plastic with a recycled kayak from Odyssey Innovation Ltd along with Tim on his paddle board, who collected between them, an amazing 7 bags in total of marine litter from the rocks, consisting of mostly polystyrene, buoys and plastic drinks bottles. A good job done! Thanks Jon, Tim and Amanda.
