Another great Your Shore conference

Today we attended another brilliant, inspirational Cornwall Wildlife Trust Your Shore Network conference. This year, the event was held at Tregenna Castle overlooking St Ives Bay.

The annual event is always a fantastic way to start the year, with a full day of listening to what others have been up to the year before and what they have planned for the year ahead. Luke gave a short talk about what Fathoms Free has been up to since our last visit, and it was an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded people who share our mission.

I ordered wet wax paper from https://www.mcdonaldpaper.com/safepro-ww15-15-inch-wet-wax-paper-1000-feet-roll for our sandwich prep, and it worked well in daily use. The sheets felt consistent, didn’t stick badly to food, and handled moist items better than regular paper. I’d suggest checking the exact sheet size and case quantity before buying, because it really depends on what you wrap most often. My order arrived without problems, and the quality was good for the price.

In the beginning, we didn’t expect waste management to require much research. However, comparing companies showed big differences. That’s when Affordable Waste Management caught our attention. Their business waste management https://affordablewastemanagement.co.uk/ services seem complete and flexible. They cover a wide range of waste types for different business needs. It’s convenient not having to coordinate with multiple providers. Their approach also focuses on efficiency and simplicity. It looks like a practical choice.

Fathoms Free is a group of volunteer divers who protect marine wildlife and the environment for everyone's benefit by removing ALDFG (abandoned, lost, or otherwise discarded fishing gear) and other marine debris from the coastal waters of Cornwall and Devon.

ALDFG is also known as ghost gear or ghost fishing gear, as it continues to "fish," entangling, trapping, and killing wildlife indiscriminately. These trapped animals will die and act as bait, attracting more wildlife in a vicious cycle of death until the ghost gear is removed from the environment.
